Villa Polvese

A historic residency to host you in the verdant island

The history of Villa Polvese

Villa Polvese which will host you throughout twenty-one rooms, after the acquisition by Count Giannino Citterio (in 1959), was expanded and embellished by the architect Tomaso Buzzi, with decors and solutions in style.

The welcoming and elegant dining room “Dolce Agogia” from which you’ll enjoy the true flavors of lakeside landscape, while from our windows you will be taken aback by the sun making the lake bright and, in the evening, by the colors of the sunset and lights of the lake.

In our bar you will always feel awaited in your moments of break with the best thought out for you.

The soul of Polvese Island emerges with its sounds, smells and emotions, which you will be able to appreciate looking at the dreamlike landscape of the lake shore. Even your kids will find their ideal space made of color games.

From Latin “sanus per acquam” which translates into “health through water.” Your journey will make you rediscover at the Polvese Island a new harmony in the spirit and wellbeing through our courtesy lines which use and are inspired by the ancient culture of the oil production that the Olivetani monks attended to from 1482.

As you leave Villa Polvese, you will be guided by the poplar-grove-lined avenue to our beach, thought only for you, where you will feel the sounds of the lake and share them with who you want.
